Off The Hook
We are a group of private investigators, bounty hunters / fugitive recovery agents, and bail bondsmen that have been in this line of work for over twenty five years and have many stories to tell. We have traveled all over the country catching fugitives and bringing them back to have their day in court. With our years of experience we are trying to educate the public about bail and why it is a needed part of our judicial system.

A quiet holiday weekend turns into a packed grab bag of news, local chaos, and one of our most unbelievable real-world recoveries. We start with what’s coming up fast: our April 19 Wilmington, NC event with Leland Chapman and family. We talk sponsors, where to get tickets, and why VIP matters if you want the private podcast experience, closer access, and the stories you don’t get while standing in a long line.
Then we hit a headline that made us stop scrolling: a high school student creates a filtration method that reportedly removes 96% of microplastics from drinking water using ferrofluid, a magnetic oil that binds to plastic in moving water. That sparks a practical conversation about bottled water, heat, and why “microplastics in water” is not just a buzz phrase when you’re thinking about everyday health.
From there we bounce through sports and spring culture, then get blunt about politics, leadership, and the frustration of not knowing what’s really happening behind the curtain. We also share a disturbing moment we witnessed that highlights how visible mental illness and public safety issues are becoming even in places that never used to feel that way. And to close, we deliver a full-on bounty hunter story: a barn break-in, law enforcement doing nothing, a bond forfeiture that changes the game, and a morning confrontation that ends with handcuffs and stolen property coming back home.
Subscribe for more true bounty hunter stories, bail bonds talk, and unfiltered conversations, then share this with a friend and leave a review so more people can find the show.

A Teen’s Microplastics Water Filter
SPEAKER_02I'm getting text. Um interesting thing I just saw in the news, man. I'll share with everybody while we're waiting real quick. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it was pretty cool. Uh so a high school student invented a filter that eliminates 96% of microplastics from drinking water, which has always been a huge top, huge topic if you listen to any other podcast, like the main one, Joe Rogan.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_02He always has um he always has facts about microplastics and and uh guest speakers about that, which I found interesting. Um, it's uh teenager named Mia Heller's filtration system harnesses the power of ferrofluid, a magnetic oil that binds to microplastics and flowing water. That's pretty cool. 96% it eliminates. You know, a lot of people don't even know what that is, probably. Majority of people, but if you think about it, all the drinking water we're sitting here looking at it for you know, the plastic bottles that sit in the sunlight, and if you've ever you know seen them like some stores leave them sitting outside. Yeah, I don't know. I don't I don't know. It's like the worst. Um but microplastics seep into um your drinking water. And like there's you know, there's stuff about that that's um it's not good. We're ingesting plastic.
SPEAKER_03It'd be uh you know, I would like to I like for us to look into that more. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I just a brief little nugget of info. I know you you've texted him and he's oh yeah, I got something for you.
SPEAKER_03Let's see, let's see if I can get him on the phone.
SPEAKER_02All right. Drop drop the clue who it is.
SPEAKER_03Hello? Hey Lila, what's happening, buddy? I'm doing good, man. Hope you are. Can you hear?
SPEAKER_01I can hear you. Can you hear me?
SPEAKER_03Yes, all right. So we got you live on the podcast, sir. And uh and we want we're just so excited to have you and your dad come and Cecily coming. And um yeah, man, uh just uh just say hey to our uh uh to all of our people out there and uh let them know about the 19th and come on out.

SPEAKER_02Do what you can, brother.
SPEAKER_03All right, Leland, brother. I appreciate your time, man. Uh, holler at me a little bit later this week. Be safe out there.
SPEAKER_01Okay, sounds good. I can't wait to see you guys.
SPEAKER_03You too, man. Hey, brother.

SPEAKER_03So it's always good to hear.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, man. A little shout out, you know, for the show.
SPEAKER_03Me and Leland has kept in contact for years.
SPEAKER_02He's a good dude, man.
SPEAKER_03And you know, he's down in Alabama.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Is that where he's at now?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he's doing he's doing his thing, northern Alabama. And man, he he he's working hard, man, every day.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's he's you know, he he's he didn't that show, you know, as long as it ran as popular as it was, yeah. You know, it didn't, um, I don't think he he's he hasn't changed. No, he's dude, he's he's still a humble guy, one of the nicest dudes you ever meet. Yeah. Uh that's that's the likable factor of uh him, you know.
SPEAKER_03So get your tickets, everybody. Get it off the show.
SPEAKER_02You know you watch the show, man. You know you watch the ticket. Come on. Come on.
SPEAKER_03Gotta come out.
SPEAKER_02If hey, if you don't want to get the tickets for the the private uh thing, you know, it's still it's free after that. You know, you'll get you got to get in line with everybody. You just won't get the VIP experience. You want to skip the line, you want the you know, the order, while the private podcast and the and the up close personal, you know, all the stories you're gonna get to hear. All the stuff. You might want to get the tickets. Yeah. I'm just saying. I would, but I know some people just want the freebie and you know, come in, but you're gonna, you know, all right, it'll be quick.
March Madness Picks And Tiger Talk
SPEAKER_03So go go get your tickets. All right. So moving on here, dude. All right, so you see the big uh the big game coming up on the week this weekend.
SPEAKER_02What game were you talking about?
SPEAKER_03Yukon in Michigan.
SPEAKER_02Oh, Yukon in Michigan. Who are you pulling for? I'm gonna, I mean, because they beat Duke and I'm not a Duke fan, and Duke Duke is from our state. I'm a Duke fan. I'm a Duke fan. I don't like the Dukies. Uh it's a it's a private college full of uh New Jersey folks that come down south for yeah, yeah, yeah. I've always been a Tar Hill fan. Uh so yeah, well, but then again, their school hasn't I'm not really a fan. I mean, I I've got family who played football at Chapel Hill, you know. I mean, it's you know, it's kind of a family thing, but um nah I don't know. I don't have a dog in this fight, but I if I had to choose, it'd be UConn.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, I like seeing Yukon. I'm I always like UConn for some reason, you know. So I um I so I'm gonna pull for UConn myself.
SPEAKER_02Right on.
SPEAKER_03Uh so so good luck, guys. Uh it's gonna be good to watch. Then afterwards, you know, what what's what's on for after that for a while?
SPEAKER_02I don't know, man. I mean, I I'll throw on golf because I just like like seeing some golf.
SPEAKER_03Or good nap. But hey, good nap.
SPEAKER_02But hey, the the you know, golf has been in the news with Tiger Woods, right? You know, tight did you see the video? Tiger Woods trying to call Trump. He called he called him, you know, it was like, yeah, I got the president online. And like that was gonna, you know, get him automatically uh out of that situation. Right, right, right. Good try, Tiger, but um, you know, I don't I don't think it's looking good for Tiger.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no, I well, it's the weather's getting prettier, so now it's music festival season.
SPEAKER_02I know you said you're oh man, it's in bloom here, dude. We got a little bit of rain to knock the pollen out yesterday. Yep. Um chilled off a bit, but uh it's supposed to be like in the 70s all week, man. Gorgeous.
SPEAKER_03I love it. I love it. You know, but but music, this is music festival. Uh this is when the music, the live music starts happening, really, is about this time. My band played, we played Saturday night. That's what we're gonna do.
SPEAKER_02Well, we got the uh Zay Festival this weekend.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no, I stay away from downtown.
Music Festivals And What We Listen To
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we don't, you know, we don't take part in that, but a lot of people will. Uh but if you're local, a lot of people local don't come to that. No, uh, it's just too crowded, and we've seen it. You've seen it once, you've seen it a hundred times. Yeah, who is the who is the talent? Excuse me. I mean it's a rapper, right?
SPEAKER_03It's little John, man. Little John and the Yin Yang twins.
SPEAKER_02Oh boy, I can't wait.
SPEAKER_03No, I mean it's from back in the day. I don't want to go.
SPEAKER_02I don't know a song. That's Thursday.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's Thursday, and then Friday is Dustin Lynch. He's a country singer.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he should be with that name.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And so I know like I don't want to go, so I think uh like Heather and all her friends, all the girlfriends, they're all going, well, whatever. I'm gonna have to pick her up from that mess, but I hate coming downtown during the Zaya Festival.
SPEAKER_02Oh god, yeah. I stay away from it. Me and my boy are going to go see uh Black Label Society. Yeah, I can't. I love I love some Zach Wilde and Black Label. Uh that's I mean, and if you know the dog, the bounty hunter theme, that was an Aussie song, and it's this is an extension kind of of that music.
SPEAKER_03And so we're like, I love that music, don't get me wrong. Yeah, but I'm like I'm a country and reggae guy, and you're like you're metalhead.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And but I love metal, I love it, I love all of it. I mean, I I'm you know, I I recognize good talent.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's not for everybody, and I've kind of gone in. I like alternative, like I like Morrissey, I like my Smiths, you know, I like that scene too.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, see that that was not me.
SPEAKER_02That was my time period, yeah, you know, of college, um, which it was cool because it wasn't mainstream, and I think that was the draw of it. And now the music sucks um so bad that it just I mean, I don't know how to describe it, but my kids don't like today's music, which a lot of is rare. Yeah, a lot of kids follow whatever is you you it you ingest what's put in front of you musically.
SPEAKER_03Well, there's really nothing going on like that's worth a damn. Right now, country music, it is because you got you know, you there's a lot, and there's some country artists that I don't like, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02They kind of there's a bunch of sellout type of music.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm not a big fan on some of some of the country artists.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, not to sound old or anything, but I like the older stuff.
SPEAKER_03It was not yeah, you know, yeah, that's and that's what me and like my band plays. We play a 90 90s country, and that's so good, it's so fun. I think we play some we play some 2000 stuff, but it's not but it's not like a lot of the this like I don't like some of the newer stuff, right? Like I'm not a big Morgan Wallin fan. Oh yeah, I I'm not a huge fan of him, but you know, it's whatever. Like this weekend coming up as Tortuga. It's the big, it's a huge festival down in Florida to do every year. And Kenny Chesney's closing it out, man. Last time he was there was in 2017. I would love to see how he closes out this year. Man, he's always got a good show, right? So, but I'm I'm hoping I like Kenny. Yeah, he's awesome. We're gonna go see him at the sphere in on Las Vegas this year.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03So I'm kind of I can't wait to see how that goes. I'm not I'm not too sure how that's gonna go. But uh but when you go down to the House of Louise to go see Zach Wilde, you gotta give me some videos and pictures. I gotta see it now.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I will.
Conservative Frustration With Trump
SPEAKER_03I will definitely say so on to world news. Man, I don't know about you, Chad, but I'm really not happy with our president.
SPEAKER_02You know, both of us are uh conservatives. Yes. We know we're outspoken. Uh we have been supported of Trump, but we're not liking what dude's doing now. This is no, we talked about this a while ago. Right. And this is a conversation that I don't see liberals having between each other is admitting that they don't like what their great leaders are doing. Biden, they wouldn't they would ride that ship till it's sunk and take their dying breath following that fool.
SPEAKER_03And uh in other words, we would get on the lifeboat and say, screw this.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, I'm just I'm not happy with and a lot of people aren't with what's going on over there. I think there's a lot that we're not um California, huh? Okay. Um Burbank. Um there's a lot that I don't think that we're we're in the know, which we weren't previously either, but at least our guy was is is able to function. But right, you know, I get it. You know, if it's if if the job's been done over there, it's time to get out of there and and get out. Why are you why are you still there? Um the gas prices people are feeling still not as high as it was with Biden. There's that fact.
SPEAKER_03But I'm a Buddha's advocate too.
SPEAKER_02I know what you're gonna say, and yes, he did run on uh affordability. We all know that gas basically controls everything as far as the prices of goods and services, foods. You know, if uh gas is high, it's going to cause your food to be high because it takes more to get it to you, right? I mean, we yeah, it's just common economics.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_02But you know, what what is what is it that we're not you know, what we're not seeing? What was is it the right thing to do? I don't know. I don't know. We can sit back and punch holes in it all you want. But I can tell you one thing that will the greater outcome of the whole thing be better, you know, if we you know can get through this.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I can tell you one thing. I am 100% totally I I cannot stand as you know, we you know, he made that tweet this past weekend.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I I was I could not believe that was real. Um but I kept seeing it. Um, he dropped the F bomb on a tweet and a B, and you know, it was I I think he was making threats and when he didn't get his way, and now he's gotta he's actually gotta go through with it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02If he's going to. Um, I think that was the frustration.
SPEAKER_03As a as the president of the United States, he shouldn't he shouldn't be putting it out like that. You should keep your just keep your damn mouth shut and do what you gotta do and get in and get out. Yeah, yeah. Let's just get like I know we had a down fighter jet, yeah, and and the two and they rescued them and nobody got killed, which is it's amazing at what our military can do.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh I just I'm getting a little like, all right, haven't we like bombed every damn thing of theirs already? It would appear to either they're not gonna make anything right now because it's all destroyed.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Why are we still doing things there?
SPEAKER_03Right. So what's going on?
SPEAKER_02I mean, we'll we'll question it. You know, we're gonna question it, even though we're not gonna follow Trump till he freaking, you know, does whatever. I mean, we're gonna we're questioning what's going on, you know. At least have the sense to have that conversation.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02You know? Um I don't know, man. Uh today, while we're filming this, is the the day that uh the sixth day that he gave them the ultimatum. So we're it's so early that we don't know the outcome of what's what's to come with this. Which will we'll air this tomorrow and it'll probably already be happening. Um so we don't know at this moment.
SPEAKER_03Well, you know, I I I I hate it, but you know I I just I just let's get out of there and let's concentrate on us. That's that's what that's what I think a majority of Americans want.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah. I mean he's got a lot of angles. If he wants a Republican to stay in office, you know, he's gonna have to he's gonna have to make some big moves to redeem himself with this.
SPEAKER_03Um with you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. So we'll see. You know, um, I hope it's all worth it. Yeah, I I'm telling you, um, if it is if he does does pull this off, I mean, yeah, you you can't always have, you know, roses and and the and the luxuries in your life. There has to be some some sacrifice. I get that. You know, people whining about it. Yeah, it does suck, but is it worth it in the long run? Is it gonna be worth it?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but how like but how like how much of do we have to pay for his decisions? I I don't we don't know.
SPEAKER_02We don't we don't know if he's doing the you know exactly the right thing or not. We don't know. We we don't know. I know that's that's the problem is if he could be doing, you know, he could be hating it and being like, you know, hate doing string is stringing this out as long as it is, and I hate this the people are doing, you know, it could be that he might have an ultimate plan.
SPEAKER_03Or or you know, he might be saying, screw it. I don't have to run again. I'm gonna do, I'm just gonna, you know. But now you're thinking like a Democrat. Well, no, I'm not thinking, I'm just saying.
SPEAKER_02You also have the Trump Trump uh the uh Trump ego factor. I get that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There is that. I mean, we'll see, man. There's a there's a lot going on. There's a lot of what it is. You know, all you blue hairs and you know, all the purple haired people. Y'all are probably losing your your stuff right now. But just hold on, let's see what happens.
SPEAKER_03Just hang on to Christy, just hang on to Christy Nullman's husband.
SPEAKER_02Get you a safe space and you know, pack it in for a little bit and just hold on and see what happens, man. All right, so you can still whack your wiener off or you know, all right, yeah. Whack your boobs off and still go for that.
SPEAKER_03Like I said, go see Christy Nome's husband. Here we go.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, freak, man. Jeez.
SPEAKER_03Oh god, who didn't know?
A Troubling Downtown Mental Health Scene
SPEAKER_02Dude, middle ill, dude. I was I was telling you earlier, like we left church for Easter, you know, we're going back, and like there's a main intersection in Wilmington that is like heavily trafficked area and it's an intersection. And I pull up uh to the light, and there's a dude laying in the street, and like, like I said, there's a lot of traffic, and there's a freaking dude laying in the street, he's holding a styrofoam container like it's like food from a restaurant or something, and he's got a one of those liberal masks, we'll just call it that now, uh, pacifiers, yeah, pacifier mask on his face, and he's laying on his side holding this food, and like he's just like looking at traffic while they're about to run him over and yelling. You can see him moving his mouth underneath the mask, and you know, like yelling at cars, and he's just laying in the road, like mental illness, dude. Like, we see it's for real. There's a lot of it downtown here. There's it's crazy, man. Like, who we're in Wilmington, we don't we're not in LA. You know, we don't have a lot of that stuff. Exactly.
SPEAKER_03Well, it's starting to spew over.
Barn Theft Becomes A Fugitive Arrest
SPEAKER_02That's not invitation to a lot of people to come here, but I'm just saying we don't have a lot of that here, and we don't want it here. Yeah, you know, yeah. So, anyway, on with the story.
SPEAKER_03On with the story of the week. Yeah, so uh this one is it's been a few years ago. Um, I was I got a phone call from my brother.
SPEAKER_02Which is a weird way to start one of these. I know, right?
SPEAKER_03I got a phone call from my brother going, hey man, uh the I got these two guys on a camera system that I put in at my brother's house. Okay. I got these two guys on my camera system breaking in faulty, I got you breaking in. Screw you. He goes, I caught these two guys breaking into my um my barn out back and stealing a bunch of stuff. And I know who they are. I'm like, all right, well, you know, go to the magistrate, you know, make a police report, whatever you gotta do. And he does. And they're like, Yeah, we can't do nothing because you know we talked to them and they were like, Yeah, they they don't know what they're talking about. I'm like and my brother's like, dude, I'm so frustrated, they're not the cops ain't turned. Trying to do shit. I'm like, well, maybe I could come up there and help. I'm like, all right, so I go up there and I'm like, who is it? And he and he he's these two guys. One of them he went to school with.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03That's how he knew him. And I said, okay. Well, I start, you know, asking around. And it's a small little town, bro. Like, when I say little, like maybe 200 people. Yeah, this little town. So I mean, yeah, and there's like uh in it, there's like a junkyard you can go, like, like these crackheads can go sell their uh cadillac converters.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and get the copper out of it.
SPEAKER_03Get a copper out of it anyway. So that's what so that's where I went to. I was like, well, let's go there and start talking. So I started like, yeah, this dude right here. I was like, okay, so I'm like, I'm giving the information to the cops, and they're not doing shit at all. So I'm like, what the hell? So I go to the dude's house. I'm I was like, hey man, I got I need to talk to you. He's like, well, he's not here. I said, okay. Well, I need to talk to you then as his roommate uh who owned the place. I was like, look, he stole a bunch of shit. And this is what he stole. Here's an ice uh list of items. He stole a bunch of it, dude, and we're gonna, you know, we're gonna, you know, turn this into the sheriff. But we'll drop everything, just give us our stuff back. And there was some expensive things, items in there. He's like, he goes, man, he goes, I I know where some of it is. I was like, all right, well, well, can you give it to me now? He's like, yeah. So he comes out, he starts bringing, he goes, but I ain't he goes, this is only a couple little things. I'll say, well, this ain't the high dollar stuff, you know. I'm like, okay, whatever. I was like, the guy at the junkyard told me, you know, he had it, he was trying to sell it, but he wouldn't buy it because you know he knew it was hot. Right. So I'm like, all right, and then and then the the dude's girl comes out out of nowhere and she starts screaming. I'm just in regular clothes, bro. I'm I'm just in regular clothes trying to ask questions. And she comes out and she's mad as hell. I can't believe you can't accusing da-da-da. I was like, I don't know what you're talking about, lady. I was like, I know it was him. You know, he she goes, Oh, you're not here for this. And he she hands me the gold ticket.
SPEAKER_02Oh, it had a forfeiture. A forfeiture.
SPEAKER_03I was like, I was like, no, but let me see.
SPEAKER_02But I can be. I said, let me look at it and see if I can help you. Yeah, yeah. Let me see who wrote that bond. What insurance company.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I said, I looked at I looked at who the bondsman was. I said, Know him. Oh, I know you. Uh, you're one of my clients. So what do I do? I'll go, hang on, let me make a phone call for you. So I don't know what they're making a phone call for. Yeah. I went and called my clients. I was like, hey, bud, I'm I'm in Wilson helping my brother out trying to find some stolen merchandise. I'm like, but I'm here at this dude's house. He's got a fairy to appear.
SPEAKER_02Your name is.
SPEAKER_03He goes, Yeah. He goes, that's one of the files I was gonna send you tomorrow. I'm like, go ahead and send it now, give me the authority now, and I'll go ahead and hunt this dude down and I'll give you a damn good deal. He's like, All right, we'll make it happen. Yeah, I said, All right, cool. So he sends it on. And I go back to him, I was like, hey, I said I can get this fixed for you. I said, just I said, where is he at? He ain't here right now. Of course he ain't here. Uh-huh. So I'm like, all right, I'll be back. So I leave. I leave for a couple hours. I go tell my brother, I'm like, hey, bro, uh, I I I this is what's going on. I tell him everything's gone. Yeah. I said, I'm gonna get your stuff back. I said, and I'm gonna make some money on top of it. And I'm gonna make some money on time, I don't want to rest this ass. He goes, no way. I'm like, yes, I got it. So uh so I put my this is where I put my vest on. I put my badge on because now I can, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03So so I now I go up there and when I pull in the driveway, this dude takes off to the woods. I'm like, I'm like, Well, what is he taking off to the woods for? I I'm not here to get him. And she was like, I don't know. She goes, it's because of this thing. I'm like, I said, what that's not my name, so I can't I can't touch him. I was lying like hell through my teeth. And she was like, Well, I was like, Look, I know you, I know he stole this shit from Mr. Allen. I didn't tell her that that was my brother. Right. I didn't say anything about it. I said, I know this stuff was she she goes, Well, I I can give you a couple things back. So I got a couple more things back.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Right. So I was like, all right, well, he's gone. He's in them woods, he ain't coming out for a while. I said, but he'll be here. He's on he's on drugs real bad. I said, but he'll be here in the morning because it's the only place he's got.
SPEAKER_02Is that what she said?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, she said she goes, yeah, he'll be here in the morning. He ain't gonna run. I said, okay. I said, by 10 o'clock. And she goes, Yeah, yeah, about 10 o'clock, I'll be a good time. I of course I was there at 7 o'clock in the morning. So I roll up at 7 o'clock in the morning.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I roll up. Everybody, it's dead quiet. There's junk and there's shit everywhere in the yard. I mean, it's like pit bulls on fucking chains. Oh, you know, it's a typical like hillbilly ass in the middle of nowhere, okay?
SPEAKER_02Dog's job is to bite your ass if you come up there. That's sad.
SPEAKER_03He looks he looks mean, but you go up to him, he's like, Oh, really? Yeah, yeah, he's one of them, right? So, all right, so I go up to the front door of this old farmhouse. I knock on a door, I hear, I come on in. That's some woman, like an old woman. I was like, what the hell? So I opened the door, and it's the oh god, I can't believe it. Oh god. So she's on the couch, this old lady, she's not writing ahead. Yeah, and she's in a nightrobe. She and she's naked as hell underneath. She's about she's about 70 years old. And dude, she's on and she's spread eagle on the couch like this. Going, I good looking. I was like, I said, what? I was like, all right, I said, I'm looking for such and such. Uh I'm gonna call him, I'll call him Smelly because that place smelled bad, right? Especially that woman on the couch. God, I can smell it from the bad doorway. Oh god, that was horrible. So anyway, so what meanwhile, that she's like, Oh yeah, he's in there asleep. I said, Okay. I was like, Can I come in? And she was like, Absolutely, go get him, he's right there. I was like, Okay, is this your house? She's like, Yeah. I'm like, okay, cool. I go get that every day. No, I go beat by. She's like, and when you're done with him, you can come see me. I was like, absolutely, just hang tight right there on the couch, boy.
SPEAKER_02Just keep that thought. I'll be right back.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. So I go up to the I'm going to the bedroom door. I'm knocking on the bedroom door because it's locked.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And I hear, who is it? It's the girlfriend, the girl I've been talking to. Yeah. I was like, hey, this is this is Rob. You know, I'm here and I need I need to salt to him. Hang on, he's gotta get up and get ready. I was like, no, I said, come on out this door now. We we're gonna we we ain't gonna play that.
SPEAKER_02We ain't gonna let him get ready.
SPEAKER_03And I hear I hear wrestling going on. Yeah, so I finally I said, Screw this. I knocked the hell out that door, right? And it flew open. He's got one leg in the pants, boom, and he's got he's standing in front of me.
SPEAKER_02Perfect time to freaking knock him on his ass.
SPEAKER_03I have my tank to use it on him. Oh, yeah, I got it. Yeah, I love it. As soon as I hit that door and it opened up and he looked at me, yeah, big old eyeball head in.
SPEAKER_02He was he was out the door if you gave him another second.
SPEAKER_03He looked at the window and he looked at me and I said, Nope. Not happening. He said, I was like, and I cut it off, and I said, You done? He said, Yeah, yeah, don't do that again, don't do it again. I said, I will now. I said, Turn around. And so he turned around. Anyway, got him in handcuffs, yeah, got him out, and the girlfriend's cussing me the whole time, dude. Yeah, she's like, You lied to me, you SOB. I'm like, screw you, I don't care.
SPEAKER_02You weren't truthful either, so we're even.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so I got he's at my truck, right? I'm like, where's the shit at? Tell me where all the stuff at you stole. And he was like, he goes, man, he goes, uh, it's it's here. It's just uh he had his buddy go get it and put it in the back of my truck.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And there was only one thing missing was Corvette rims. My my brother had for his truck. He had an old race truck and he had Corvette rims.
SPEAKER_02Corvette rims on a truck?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. He had like one of them Dodge, oh Dodge trucks that uh had a racing motor in it, whatever. Oh, okay. Put Corvette rims and tires on it, whatever. It was strange, but okay. Yeah, whatever. But it was expensive. And he goes, hey man, he goes, I already sold these. I was like, bro. I said, All right. I said, well, you better learn how to go get them back pretty quick when you get out of jail. He said, All right, cool. So I throw him in, I throw him in a truck. We leave. We go, and it's in Wilson. I didn't well, I didn't get him in Wilson County, it was in Wayne County. So I go all the way back to Wilson, and I like I text my brother going, Hey bro, meet me at the jail. He's like, all right, cool. So I pull up at the jail, I come walking across the street with him, I'm going into the before we get to the sideport. I'm like, hey, somebody wants to talk to you. And my brother comes out and he goes, Oh, he kind of looks at it, I said, Look, bro. My brother goes, Hey man, where where the rims at? And he goes, I sold him to Sush, the junkyard guy. He goes, I sold him to him. I he's it's in this spot at the junkyard. I said, Okay. My brother was like, All right, cool. He goes, Don't come back, don't come back on my property anymore. He goes, All right, no problem, bro. He was he he's like, you can tell the guy was like, Oh shit. I'm like, look, dude.
SPEAKER_02So he got all his stuff back.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, he got all the stuff back eventually. But so the boy didn't still did not put two and two together. That was my brother. Yeah. So I'm standing there, I'm like, hey, I said, next time before you break into somebody's house, you might want to think about what you're doing. He said, Why is that? I said, That's my brother over there. He's like, Oh man, he goes, you know what? My my my girl's brother-in-law told me that you were a bounty hunter. That was your brother, and I didn't put too much, I didn't think about it because I was on drugs. I was smoking the crack and the meth and blah blah blah. He goes, and I didn't think nothing of it. He goes, but you sure did come get my ass, that's for sure. I said, Yep. I said, there you go. And so he went in for a while. So he went away. And then so my brother went back to the junkyard guy. I was like, hey, you lied to me, asshole. He goes, Well, you know, well, you know, nothing. So I showed up there. I'm like, hey, look, where's it at? I said, no, I'm calling cops right now. He bought the stuff to him, so my brother got his stuff back. Nice. So I made some money, and my brother got his shit back.
SPEAKER_02And the guy went to jail.
SPEAKER_03The guy went to jail, and the sheriff's department still didn't do a damn thing because they're a bunch of lazy asses up there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I don't, I'm not a big fan of them up there. Yeah. They're very lazy. But that is a story of Stanky for sure. God, I can't believe that. I forgot all about that. I didn't tell you about that when I walked in the door.
SPEAKER_02No need to tell me that detail, dude. You can omit that.
