We were. So we were coming from wilmington, raleigh and, um, you know, folks don't know that's a two-hour drive. Had to get a son out of school early, right, and uh, we had to be there by four I'm sure he didn't care though? No, not at all. Um you know, we stopped um trying to stop at the redneck lab to get us some that's some dude.

that album has um song called cemetery gates song called cemetery gates that was made by Morrissey and the Smiths and um, I'd watched a video clip of uh Phil and said, and Selma, uh, the lead singer for Pantera, talking about how he was a huge Smiths fan, and he even pointed out that in the video because one of um Pantera's biggest songs is cemetery gates. They don't sound alike, but they just have the same title, right? Anyway, we got to do a meet and greet with the band.

It's all relevant, Right and like if you went to college and you know that that plays a part in people's music taste too, and um, so like, and growing up, you know I heard old r&b. I mean I like barry white oh yeah, oh yeah so I mean, I have a vast variety of taste, but I wore the shirt and um as soon as. So they had everybody behind this wall and, like everybody who had gone for the vip, thing was you know lined up and you get one on one on one with them.

They don't give you much time. I was a little pissed. I mean, we do the event for the one tree hill thing and like it's not like that. Yeah, you meet the stars there and, like you know, you get to spend a moment with them. And uh, I was just a little ticked about that because each one of them, you know, had significance too. I've been liking pantera since nine, the early 90s, and I'm all workout training partner who's now dead now, ch Chad Dunlap Miss you, buddy. Anyway. So getting to meet them was big and I wanted to speak to each one of them and I got to. Zach Wild came out and he's like we got a Smiths fan here. You know, he's got like a little New Jersey accent. Zach, we got a Smiths fan here. You know, he's got like a little New Jersey accent. Zach Wild is Ozzy Osbourne's, or was Ozzy's, main guitarist, lead guitarist, lead guitarist since he was 19 years old, I mean. So Black Label Society, like you know.

And then I met Rex Brown, who's the bassist, and he gave me a little fist bump. He's kind of a quiet shy dude from what I could tell. And then there's Charlie Benate and he's the drummer.

He came from Anthrax Right and a damn good drummer yeah and uh, he was really cool, but they were both commenting and then phil phil was at the end phil and samel and sanello and samela I'm trying to pronounce his name just say phil, phil the lead singer lead singer for pantera and, uh, they both were like the smiths and I was like, yeah, brother, cemetery gates, and he goes oh, you caught that.

And I was like, yeah, and uh, there's others too. But anyway, um, that was just real cool. And my son, you know he's, he's quiet and he was, he was enjoying all that. But after the whole experience they email you. You know how they do it, yeah, yeah, or things where it's digitally saved in the drop box, and they email you the photo because they like to make money on everything, right. So I never got the email and like literally the next day I'm emailing ticket master and live nation and like where's my damn picture?

yeah, I mean between me and my son. We paid a lot to do that, yeah, and I was kind of pissed and um never got it. Like you know, I met some other people and they had gotten theirs during the concert. So I was, I was pissed about it.

Um, anyway, fast forward to today and I was just looking at tiktok and so once you look at a couple things on tiktok, algorithms go to kind of what you look at. So I'm seeing all these pantera videos of concerts in different places and, um, I commented on some guy's picture because he had like a backstage thing and and he, he wrote me back and he's like, yeah, I'm friends with the drummer, um Charlie, and I was like, oh, cool, you know, and I sent him a picture of me and my son. We were there and uh, he remembered me from the, uh, the going in to the thing, and uh, I was like, yeah, I never, we never got our photo. I was kind of pissed about it. You know, I'm still trying to email ticket master and he goes, oh, he sent me a link to dropbox and I tried.

And dude went in it and sent me a screenshot of our picture. I was like, hell, yeah, that's awesome. So just some random guy that I take, just turns out he's friends with Anyway. So I got my photo, but the concert.

So that's a long period of time, you know, to disappear and then just come back. I mean, you know, dimebag Darryl got shot killed on stage.

So I think it's time for us to start holding the media accountable for their negligence, for one, because they're pushing agendas in line and twisting everything. I'm tired of it. It's gone to encompass the entire world. Yeah, and Turning Point USA is going to become bigger than Charlie would ever thought.
