As we turn our focus to the political pulse of North Carolina, the conversation heats up with a closer look at the district attorney race for New Hanover and Pender Counties. Jason, a local candidate with 15 years of experience, stands against an opponent fresh from New York, sparking debates about local values versus outside influences. The gubernatorial race also takes the spotlight, with candidates Mark and Josh Stein facing off in a media frenzy. Beyond the state lines, national issues such as disaster aid and leadership criticisms surface, celebrating grassroots efforts that fill the gaps left by larger institutions.
Political tensions soar when Ron DeSantis and Kamala Harris take center stage in a fiery exchange, prompting discussions on hot-button issues like Kamala's house credit proposal and its implications for taxpayers. We don't shy away from touching on hot topics like corporate greed and immigration, advocating for a pause to reassess the political landscape. Our conservative voter guide for Pendergast County offers a roadmap for the upcoming elections, and we gear up for an enlightening chat with guest Jason Smith, who brings ideas for judicial reforms that could change the community's future. Join us for a lively, opinionated ride through the week's events and political sagas.
When people are released from jail, they have the responsibility to appear in court, but some of these people choose to go on the run.
Speaker 2:They go back home to mommy.
Speaker 1:And that is when these guys come into the picture. So sit back and listen to the Off the Hook Podcast with Chad and Rob Very fine people on both sides. These are real stories, but the names have been changed.
Speaker 3:How you doing. I'm Chad, this is Rob and this is the Off the Hook Podcast.
Speaker 2:Yes, glad to see you again, chad. It's been a minute. What's up Rob? Oh man, it's been kind of busy. It's been kind of hectic for me. For the past week and a half I took off. I went to Nashville, tennessee for a couple days. To kind of hectic for me. For the past week and a half I took off. I went to Nashville, tennessee for a couple days to kind of get away. We had some family issues so we decided to get out of town go see some other family in Nashville Tennessee. But while I was out there we went to Kid Rock's place. Man, his place is awesome. I love that place. Kid Rock, you have done an amazing job on that bar in Nashville.
Speaker 3:Went to Gavin's right.
Speaker 2:Yeah, went to Gavin's bar. I always stop by Alan Jackson's bar. It's a small little hole in the wall but I love it. Man, I got me a T-shirt. I was going to wear it today, but I didn't. I almost did. It's a black t-shirt. It's got I love 90s country, but it's upside down on the front of the t-shirt. But I was going to wear it but I didn't. Maybe I will in the next one, okay, whatever. So, yeah, guys, so far so good. So this episode will actually come out today.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we just want to throw a little something out there today, not our usual program of every Tuesday. We try to put something out, something. You know there's a lot going on right now. So we thought we had a little extra time. We thought we would just discuss some common everyday topics. That's going on right now. There's a lot going on.
Speaker 2:And it's very important because some of the topics we're going to talk about today is one is register to vote Correct.
Speaker 3:Need to get out there because that's coming up real soon the cutoff on.
Speaker 2:Friday Friday, this Friday, this Friday, so get out and vote. Yeah, the 11th, that's the last day to register to vote, and we encourage you to vote because I'm going to tell you what my granddaddy always told me.
Speaker 3:If you don't vote, you can't bitch about it. That's right, Chad. I had the same grandpappy.
Speaker 2:Oh man, we uh uh, we did have the same grandpappy just about. But I tell you what I got to play something for you because, since we're here today and we're talking about current events and the elections coming up, we got to do it. Let's see if it'll. Yes, yes, yes.
Speaker 1:Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, I'll be an American where at least I know I'm free, and I won't forget the men who died for me.
Speaker 2:We love Lee Greenwood bro.
Speaker 3:He was live at Pennsylvania singing this song last week. It was really, really cool. That was the best rally that I've seen him have. It was amazing. He had the opera singer come out and sing the Ave Maria song. Yeah, and it was just. They did that right at the moment when the shooter shot at Trump. They paused and that man came out and sang and it was amazing.
Speaker 2:You know what? I didn't get to watch it, but I went back and watched it. Chad filled me in, of course, and Chad goes. Did you see how he started off? I'm like no, he goes. As I was saying. As I was saying, I'm like God that was amazing.
Speaker 3:He took a pause and everybody, the man, come on, people, really, when he said fight, he means fight. I mean the dude really got shot. He came up and he, you know, fight, fight, fight.
Speaker 2:You missed, you missed, you missed.
Speaker 3:I saw today's, the first day I seen this t-shirt. I stopped in Georgia on my way down to Florida and I always stop at Black Rifle Coffee and that's where I get a lot of my clothes and I had to pick this one up because it was fitting man, you should have called me man, I would have got one man.
Speaker 2:Yeah, they had a lot of new stuff man. I thought, oh man, I can tell you what dude it's by rifle coffee. It's fun. Yeah, we love going there. Yeah, they even know us.
Speaker 3:We go to florida a lot you know, a lot of criminals like running to florida, so we stop there, whether or not we got one with us in handcuffs. We stop at the Black Rifle Coffee Company.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's fun. We actually told a story where we got two people in Florida. It's one of the episodes that we did and we stopped by with our fugitives in handcuffs.
Speaker 3:They have a little sitting area in there.
Speaker 2:We sat them down.
Speaker 3:It would be good, y'all sit there and we would take turns shopping and getting coffee. We'd get them some coffee, so they would just chill out.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but the fugitives, but them two fugitives actually told us they were like man, y'all, y'all pretty cool man Thanks. Thanks for being good to us.
Speaker 3:You know, you remember we took one to. There's a Hooters down the street. You remember that one guy. We took a picture of us and we let him get some wings. I don't think we didn't let him get a beer, but we let him get some wings and we had to eat. It's a long drive, yeah.
Speaker 2:It was Savannah. Yeah, savannah, savannah, georgia is actually a pretty nice place to go visit.
Speaker 3:Parts of it.
Speaker 2:yeah, yeah, well we always go to these shitholes of each city Sometimes, but Savannah's pretty Charleston. You just can't find anything in Charleston because it's covered up by a damn tree. Oh no, that's Hilton Head, Excuse me that's Hilton Head.
Speaker 3:Yeah, north Charleston's pretty rough.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it is. I think we told a story about North Charleston.
Speaker 3:Oh, did we. Oh yeah, that was goose Creek area.
Speaker 2:Yeah yeah, that was a sticky fingers.
Speaker 3:Sticky fingers, oh sticky fingers. That was a good episode.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you got to go back and listen to all of our listeners and subscribers on YouTube and and Spotify and all the platforms. Thank you for watching us and keeping up with us. We want to thank all of our friends and family that are supporting us.
Speaker 2:Yeah, pops, I know you're out there listening yeah buddy, oh man, I love you Pops, man, every time he comes in, man, I just I love it. Then he found out that I was playing guitar and he was like oh man, so we just sit there and talked and talked and talked. And your mama, she's a sweetheart too, man, yeah, oh, yeah, so, um, so, yeah, um. So let's get into a little bit about Current events. Current events, okay, so for one current event that I'm going to look it up, that, who was it?
Speaker 3:Well, I'll go ahead While you're doing that. You know you mentioned about, you know, getting registered to vote. Do that this week by.
Speaker 3:Friday DMV. You can go there. You know, if you live in the Wilmington area. You know there's we're going to have Jason Smith in here later. You know there's we're going to have, uh, jason smith in here later. Um, he is the one running for a district attorney for the district of new hanover and pender counties and really good guy, knowledgeable guy. I believe it's 15 years that he's been a assistant d da, yeah, he's been a.
Speaker 2:He's an ada prosecutor in the district attorney's office.
Speaker 3:Okay, that's what he was, so man's got a lot of experience. The lady that's going up against him looked at her stuff a little bit. She lived here for a while, went to New York for five-ish years and then came back here and wants to be a district attorney, and I don't think her ideas align with what ours do.
Speaker 2:No, Well, jason's been here for so long, he knows he's got a great working relationship with the sheriff's departments, the police departments, and he doesn't give, because I did a murder case with him, against him last summer in Pender County and he's very professional, yeah, he's very respectful, yeah. And so when, if I have to, Very fair to both sides.
Speaker 3:Yeah, if I have to get on a stand and testify.
Speaker 2:He treats me with respect, right, and it's nice to have that, but he's also stern, and he's you need that.
Speaker 3:He's hard-headed. You can't be soft, super soft in these situations.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so next next week we'll have he. He'll be on next week. Uh, we're actually going to do the podcast today, yeah but it'll air next week.
Speaker 3:Um, but, yeah, his opponent, um, I've, I've seen, you know her with, uh, what, what's the guy's name that's running for governor against Mark Josh Stein? Josh Stein, yeah, you lost my vote there.
Speaker 2:Speaking of that. Have you seen that? I haven't seen Josh Stein anywhere at all. I have seen Mark.
Speaker 3:Yeah, mark, mark, yeah, I saw him yesterday. He said hey, by the way.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:Want me to tell you? Hey, I told him you couldn't be there.
Speaker 2:I texted him a while ago, oh yeah.
Speaker 3:We're trying to get him on the podcast. Yes, yes.
Speaker 2:He'll let us know. If not, he'd definitely do a tick tock with us. I guarantee you that yeah.
Speaker 3:He's going to be here Friday in Wilmington. Uh, he was in Hampstead yesterday. He told me that, uh, he'd be back Friday.
Speaker 2:So want anyway. Um, yeah, so with mark coming uh back down here, he'll be at the carolina barbecue uh here in wilmington uh college in oleander on friday between 4 30 and 5 30. Uh, if you want to go talk to him, go talk. He'd be more than glad to talk to you. Yeah, and he he's going to tell you his views and his thoughts and what he's planning on doing and I think it's going to be historic to have a first the man's you know media, social media presence and the videos have gone viral over the man for a reason of what he said.
Speaker 3:Um, josh stein has done a good job of trying to smear him um with sound bites and the commercials that he's put together.
Speaker 2:And everybody knows. Just let's put this out there, man, it's not right. You know they can manipulate things Absolutely, and they're manipulating it because they know they can't directly win. I think, I believe, that it's just gotten so crooked now that they would do anything to stay in power to make that money, because they're making a killing.
Speaker 3:Yeah, it's. They are doing everything they can to win. I mean, if you want to talk about the presidency, trump has it. I mean, in the past week or two, the things that I've seen, people that have changed their views because Kamala is a train wreck and people know it. Now you may not like Trump. A lot of people don't. I don't agree with everything he says. But, right now we need him more than ever. Kamala is not the answer, Kamala, whatever how you pronounce her name.
Speaker 2:Cacklin.
Speaker 3:Yeah, Um her VP pick. Horrible the whole thing, I mean tampon Tim.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I just I'm. I'm tired of it. I'm ready to start taking care of us.
Speaker 3:Like we have taken care of the world for years and years and years. Ask the people in western North Carolina how they feel about $750.
Speaker 2:I don't see any other countries coming to our aid.
Speaker 3:How Hawaii felt when it happened.
Speaker 2:The fires happened $700 for them and then it said, oh, we're going to bump it up to $50 because of inflation.
Speaker 3:Oh, if you qualify. By the way, it's not a guarantee.
Speaker 2:I'm not 100% sure about this, but I heard it was a contract that you signed for that To repay it. To repay it. If not, they can take your land and your property. I'm like what? What?
Speaker 3:is all this.
Speaker 2:You don't like it and I'm sure you listeners and people at home I've seen tons of videos.
Speaker 3:I saw the sheriff in I can't remember what county that is out there in the western part of the state, but it was the sheriff for that county that was doing an interview that went off about the help that they've received or lack of help, and what. The president excuse me, the VP, whoever's the puppet this week came on the TV and did an interview and said you know $750. And there's no help in sight. I mean now people are personally stepping up.
Speaker 2:That's what I was about to say. We got to give big, big. We have to blow the people of North Carolina up.
Speaker 3:Well, no, I mean people from Florida.
Speaker 2:Yeah, even from Florida.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah, even from other states. Yeah, we watched. I like conservative ant on a tick tock. He's a guy I follow, hilarious, and if you're watching, check us out.
Speaker 2:We want you on the podcast.
Speaker 3:We talked a couple of times. I'm trying to get him on here, but anyway, you know he's right in the middle of this storm that's coming and that's going to be horrible.
Speaker 2:Yeah, Speaking of people in North Carolina and helping them, there is a big benefit concert going on, and there's a bunch of local ones too. We've got one here too. I can't remember who it is, but the really big one that's going on which I wish I could be there I'm not going to be able to go is Luke Combs, Eric Church, Billy Strings that man is a badass on the guitar and James Taylor Really.
Speaker 1:James.
Speaker 2:Taylor. Yes, bro, that's going to be awesome. He's doing a benefit. Yes, saturday, october 26, of america stadium in charlotte. Tickets are on sale tomorrow. Yes, tomorrow at 10 am. Uh ticket master, which I'm not a big fan of because they gouge you on their fees, but yeah, they're having that big uh concert and all the money is going to uh to help the people out in western north because, yeah, it sounds like you know, some people are stepping up and um regular citizens, but where's our government?
Speaker 2:uh, our local governments are there, you know. I mean, I know brunswick county sent people, new hanover sent. Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, you know our local governments, but the feds. A federal government? Where are you at? I heard that one of the FEMA guys was being arrogant and was talking shit to the locals there and the locals beat his ass.
Speaker 3:Oh, I saw that. Yeah, I heard something about that.
Speaker 2:Like you don't mess.
Speaker 3:Don't mess with no, canada baby, there's no boys in the hills. Man, no man, they don't play, they don't play, they they whoop your ass and talk and ask questions later.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, um, I know that man, james taylor, being at this thing. Oh, let's talk about this james taylor.
Speaker 3:I ain't heard from him in a while. Well, he's not known as his political views. I'm surprised. I mean, I'm not surprised that he wants to help, but his crowd that he's with there does surprise me.
Speaker 2:Yeah, but Eric Church, let me tell you something. And Eric Church, what he did I don't know if you heard this or not he come out with a song and he signed over all the rights to help the people out in western north carolina, called darkest hour and eric church. I don't know if you ever heard it, us or not, but, man, I'm a huge fan. We, I dude, you have a heart of gold. I've seen you a dozen times. You put on an excellent show and you're an amazing artist. So I eric church by doing this. Man is awesome. Billy strings, dude, billy. Hey, you know who billy strings is heard the name.
Speaker 3:I don't. I don't know them, I don't know billy strings.
Speaker 2:He's a guitar player like just. He's out of space man, I mean dude gotta be with that name right, oh, dude. And in luke com, luke com is great too. I mean, they're all from like north carolina.
Speaker 3:So yeah, he's from luke's from ashville yeah, and and this directly affects him and his family yeah, uh.
Speaker 2:so all of our thoughts and prayers and it goes out to everybody anyway. And also we got to keep Florida in mind. They got the big ass hurricane coming their way. Man, that's, that's scary man To see the category five turning out there in the in a Gulf with 180 mile an hour winds.
Speaker 3:Yeah, we're now. Let's see. I think right now we're about 12 hours out from it hitting at this moment.
Speaker 2:Man, y'all hunker down in Florida. We love you, we're thinking about you and hang tight, man. Just hang tight. Hopefully. I think DeSantis has done a really good job in preparing for this, Because did you hear about the trash sites?
Speaker 3:Are you talking about all the debris from the previous hurricanes that's sitting out on people's curbs that hadn't been picked up yet? That's getting ready to get hit by a lot of wind and thrown around? Yeah, I've heard a little something about that.
Speaker 2:Yeah, Did you hear about one of the counties? I don't know which county it is, but they closed their trash sites because DeSantis had told them all that they had to open up and there was no, nobody. It was 24-7. So they had to get the debris up before the storm came up. But this one landfill closed their gates and within a couple of hours they had trucks backing up yanking the gates open. Desantis put it and said no, we're, it's going to happen.
Speaker 3:so, desantis man, I hear you, bro. I did see him on tv yesterday and there's some little exchange between him and harris going back and forth about harris saying I called you and you didn't answer. You hear about? That, yeah, man, I think she's trying to change, she's trying to take any opportunity to make it political this this is not the time to be political no you know, and he understands that, and he's kind of put the kibosh on that which he should. So you know, it did.
Speaker 2:That wouldn't happen. If it was a, not an election year, correct, it would not have. No, no, he's, he's actually, he's been in contact, you know he even admitted that.
Speaker 3:Um, he worked well, not only with trump, but with biden and previous ones over the years. So I mean kamala. So I mean Kamala is the one that's actually using this as an opportunity for her.
Speaker 2:Oh, speaking of what Kamala and her policies that she's trying to invoke, what the $25,000 house credit?
Speaker 3:Oh, yeah, that, yeah, that sounds like a bunch of BS.
Speaker 2:So I did some looking into that and I talked to Chad about this yesterday because I was like man, we need to bring this up on the podcast. So I did some looking up on this and I found a professor that did some looking into it and it made complete sense. So there's $25,000 that she wants to give people for our first time home buyers. What's going to happen is is who's going to pay for that? We are the taxpayers. We're just money. That's a lot of money. If you get a million people buying a house, they can just print more. Rob, what's?
Speaker 3:the problem? No, you can't. We're doing it for Ukraine, man, rob. What's the problem? No, you can't. We're doing it for Ukraine, man, just print more.
Speaker 2:It's just paper. No, what's it matter? So okay, so they're going to give us $25,000 for first-time homebuyers, right? So they're going to give us the money we're going to pay for it. So that means inflation will keep rising.
Speaker 3:That means, rob, you got to do your part. Man, you've got to pay more for gas food. You know all the basics. I'm tired of being.
Speaker 2:Do your part, brother.
Speaker 3:I'm tired of stretching a dollar out of my ass.
Speaker 1:I'm trying to help you Democrats out. Screw them, people, dude.
Speaker 2:And Democrats keep talking about corporate greed. So when you do this, you give $25,000, it's going to help the corporate greed because they're eventually not going to afford the housing. And then it's going to be a bunch of foreclosures and you're going to have another 2008, like what you did with Obama. And then BlackRock's going to come in, buy up all the houses and guess what? They're going to go up on the rent and it's inflation over and over and over again.
Speaker 3:Blackrock is at the core of a lot of situations that we don't even know about. I mean, I keep hearing all these different rabbit holes that people are going down about what's happening in western North Carolina, about the lithium mines mining that's going on in the land up there and the people that are behind all the parts of that, and ultimately it goes back to Kamala's husband and then Kamala is the one to sign off on this. So there's that theory. I don't know how much truth there is to that, but I've seen a lot of talk about that. You know like a good conspiracy. But you know what the conspiracy theorists are. I think like 48 and 1. So a lot of them are turning out to be true.
Speaker 2:I tell you. I just I really hope that you know if you're listening and you're on the fence about who you're voting for, stop and take a look. Look the abortion thing me and Chad both agree.
Speaker 3:You're never going to win that argument.
Speaker 2:You're never going to win that argument.
Speaker 3:Nobody is. I say you leave it up to the state. That sounds like the best option.
Speaker 2:And we don't want to tell a woman what to do with her body. But I can tell you this it's horrible.
Speaker 3:I don't want to pay for someone's abortion. I can tell you that. Just like I don't want to pay for somebody's bond.
Speaker 2:Exactly, but it's a hard subject to talk about and I don't want to tell a woman what she can and can't do with her body. I just look. That's not the issue at hand, because Trump's not going to do anything with that Right now. The issue at hand is inflation, economy with foreign wars, and what else was it? Immigration, oh, biggie Immigration. Those are the big ones, and I think that we need to stop, take a pause and vote Trump in so we can breathe a little bit, because if you put Kamala in, we're we're screwed man.
Speaker 3:We're screwed. I think Obama said it best when he said change, yeah, we need to change.
Speaker 2:Yeah, we need to change.
Speaker 3:We need to change See we need to change on the right side. And there's something from Obama. He said change, I'm all for it.
Speaker 2:Look.
Speaker 3:I think I'm going to get that shirt out.
Speaker 2:I would say If Trump wins and you guys vote for him, we'll send everybody some rubber duckies. I like screwing with this guy. Put rubber duck, you're going to knock that damn thing off.
Speaker 3:I see that. I see that I quit my rubber Rubber duckie, you're the one you make.
Speaker 2:I see that. I see it, I quit my rubber rubber ducky, anyway, yeah.
Speaker 3:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Only kind of get off of the politics for a minute because I'm kind of burned your brain after a while I'm going to. I bought tickets months and months ago for my girlfriend's birthday to go see Sugar Land and Little Big Town at the Lenovo Center now not the PNZ anymore. Is that politically incorrect to say now, I don't know Little Big Town at the?
Speaker 3:Lenovo Center, now not the P&Z anymore. What is that Politically incorrect to say now I don't know. No, no, no, they changed that.
Speaker 2:They changed it. Lenovo is the computer company, so we got floor seats. I'm kind of excited I'm not a huge, huge fan, but she is. But I've seen them separate before and they're really good, so it's gonna be exciting to go see then. After that, uh, I'm ready for november 8th so I can get out here and go to st croix for eight days and get a wave and take a break from politics because we'll know who the president is by the time we leave. Yeah, hopefully anyway.
Speaker 3:Yeah, that's true, yeah, I, speaking of concerts, I was just saying I was looking at tickets. I'm more old school. I like Morrissey, my alternative scene. I was looking for tickets for him. He never comes to the East Coast, he's always West and other countries. I was looking at his tickets Pretty pricey. God, it's been a long time since I've seen a concert man. I didn't realize how much money they want for these things.
Speaker 2:Man, they're expensive man, god, the Field and Stream Music Festival that me and Heather were supposed to go to was canceled because of the hurricane stuff, and that's Eric Church and Morgan Wallen's Field and Stream Magazine. They bought Field and Stream Magazine so they come up with their first music festival and it was being put on by the same people that did, uh, the ones down in myrtle beach, the country music festival down there, all right, but uh, they canceled it. Well, they postponed it till next year. So I was excited to see that but understood that you know the hurricane come through, that was devastating, so they postponed it.
Speaker 3:But so what else, uh, what else we got um, right now, that's.
Speaker 2:Um, I think that's about it, man, we're, we're right on time. Yeah, right on time.
Speaker 3:Well, it's a beautiful day out so if you guys are here downtown, yeah, check out our uh tiktok thing. We got going on, yeah, trying to learn that at bounty hunter 910. That's it is that what it is at?
Speaker 2:bounty hunter 910 it's uh yeah, it's starting to get some traction and I'm starting to figure tiktok out, man, I'm not. I'm just kind of behind on times there we need some help.
Speaker 3:Anybody out there can help us with social media?
Speaker 2:that'd be great yeah, if you, if you guys know tiktok and the social media stuff, can help us a little bit, reach out to us, get out with one of us, go to the TikTok messages, go to our YouTube channel messages. We need help. We're all over the place.
Speaker 3:We're trying. Yes, yeah, man, so we're getting closer every day that you know it's the weather. Let me see that right there. Oh, you want to?
Speaker 2:Yeah, so guys, all right. So you guys at home if you're watching on YouTube, you can you can see we're going to hold up this. This is the Pendergast County conservative voter guide. If you live in Pendergast County, listen to us. You can vote for these guys and new handovers, because some of this stuff is also new.
Speaker 3:Hanover yeah, it starts all the way from the president and works its way down to local yep, from trump all the way down to sharon willoughby.
Speaker 2:Uh, and there's our buddy, jason smith.
Speaker 3:Hello, what's up we'll see you in a little bit, jason yeah, he's.
Speaker 2:He'll be here in about 30 minutes. Um judge harrell. Judge Kent Harrell. Yep, he's done an actually excellent job at Superior Court.
Speaker 3:Judge Sandra Crine is on there.
Speaker 2:Yep, let's see who else is up here. Definitely Mark Robinson man. I would love for him to become our governor man.
Speaker 3:I hope so, man. I hope people can see past this trash that Stein's thrown out there. Yeah.
Speaker 2:And Mike Causey. Actually Department of Insurance regulates us bondsmen.
Speaker 3:Oh yeah, yeah, I see Mike Causey's on there.
Speaker 2:He's on here and Mike has done an excellent job at DOI. I think he's done good. I got a friend of mine, jeremy Renfro if you're out there, buddy, hey, we're going to give you a big shout out. He's a DOI investigator agent and I asked him how things were going with DOI. He said man, they're going great. Mike's done an excellent job.
Speaker 3:It's good to hear from the inside.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, it's good, and don't come get you, man. I mean, if you screw up on the insurance or a bondsman does, don't come get you. But there's some good stuff up here On the back. It shows you where they're at on the ticket, it shows you what party they're in and the whole nine.
Speaker 3:Just what he's saying is do your research on your potential person that you're voting for and do get out and vote. It's your civil duty. If you don't, it could be taken from you. There's a civil duty.
Speaker 2:If you don't, it could be taken there's a lot of countries that don't don't get that, and it's sad that a lot of countries don't and like elon musk said, fight, fight, fight vote vote vote yes please, I can't wait, dude, if Trump gets in.
Speaker 3:That was awesome, elon coming up there. Yeah For that man to take his time and to show his political affiliation at that level. You know I mean he owns multiple businesses. You know people loved him that bought his car, especially on the left side, and just lost it when he came out as to who he politically follows. But he's.
Speaker 2:He told who did you tell in the interview that he's done? If Trump loses, oh, tucker Carlson.
Speaker 3:Yeah, his podcast. Yeah, he said I'm effed if it doesn't go this way. But the man's not afraid to put his money where his money is. He's actually doing a thing. Where he's in swing states, he's offering $47 to each person that, I think how is it worded In swing states that registers to vote and goes a conservative way, offers them $47.
Speaker 3:Now that doesn't sound. That sounds like a weird amount, but think about the amount of people that can be. We're talking a million people. That's $47 million that he'd have to cough up to ask for people to vote. I mean, that is really putting your money where your mouth is. So props to him, man, I mean that is really putting your money where?
Speaker 2:your mouth is so well, you know him, man, the 60 minutes, the 60 minutes interview that they did with Kamala, uh, man, he, he fried her.
Speaker 3:I'm really shocked that that man actually asked her real questions, Like you know, where are you going to get the money? And she just tripped over her tongue.
Speaker 2:I think people, I think even people, even a lot.
Speaker 3:There's a lot of democrats that are tired of it like all right, it's time to like yeah, this this whole crap going on, everybody's woke, everybody's, you know, offending everybody put your your feelings aside for trump, like, just listen to the man. I mean, he did a good job the first time and it's just not going well now. We need to change what's going on. You know you're not going to do worse. I know there's some Democrats out there that are probably freaking out at me saying that, but the man did good the first time. Give him another chance and I don't like what the current administration or whoever's running the show is doing. It's not good for us. Cut the bleeding off.
Speaker 2:Yes, because I can't bleed anymore. I'm about done.
Speaker 3:There are people just hanging by a thread, man, and relying on the government to take care of you is not going to happen. It's not your best interest. Stop thinking that way. No, anyway, that's all I'll say about that.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, man, uh, I can't. Uh, we got Jason coming here very shortly for the next week's episode. Uh, can't wait to talk to him. We're going to kind of get him to know him a little bit more personally, yeah, um, and kind of dig down deep into some of his policies that he's going to create differently, like having that, uh, that different organization for getting speedier trials getting stuff done right.
Speaker 3:That's a. That's a big topic, you know, because things are backed up. So far and that was a question I want to ask him was so many cases are delayed? I mean, a a DWI case in New Hanover County can take you two years, average two years Two years to dismiss a final judgment on a DWI case. That's crazy, I know, I mean think about how many. It's like the mail, you know, it's constantly accumulating. So you know we'll hopefully have some answers for you. We're going to dig down deep.
Speaker 2:It's like the mail it's constantly accumulating. We'll hopefully have some answers for you. We're going to dig down deep. I know we've had him on before. It went so well and he enjoyed it so much that he wants to do it again. And we're glad to have him on because it's good to have a good working relationship with people that we work against and, uh, and work in the same industry with. Yeah.
Speaker 3:We'll talk more about that we need to wrap it up, because we need to wrap it up.
Speaker 2:Yeah, cause we got to go. We got to go pick them up on a golf cart. All right, all right, guys. Well, it's been good. Uh, thank you. This is an extra little episode for you. So if you're out there and you're on the fence, vote for Trump and just look at it, just look, you don't have to tell nobody who you voted for. Go register to vote. If you're not registered, you got two more days. Come on, people, yep, yep, get to it. Come on, people, yep, yep, get to it. Come on, get to it. All right, guys.
